Acrobat is a pro­gram (part of the Adobe Acrobat fam­ily of prod­ucts that includes other prod­ucts and ser­vices like) used to cre­ate, edit, and manip­u­lates Portable Document Files (PDF). PDF doc­u­ments are often referred to as Adobe Acrobat files, even if a dif­fer­ent pro­gram was used to gen­er­ate the file.
